Šrilanški predsednik Gotabaja Radžapaksa je ruskega predsednika Vladimirja Putina prosil za pomoč v gorivu za bankrotirano otoško državo, ki se je znašla v hudi gospodarski krizi in je že od aprila plačilno nesposobna.

Russians abandon military warehouses fearing HIMARS
Russian fear of HIMARS multiple launcher rocket systems forces the occupiers to abandon their military equipment warehouses en masse, Zaporizhzhya regional military administration reported on July 7.
Rusija se v Ukrajini šele ogreva, je dejal Putin v ostrem nagovoru parlamentarnim vodjem in dal vedeti, da dlje ko bo trajala vojna, manjše bodo možnosti za kakršna koli pogajanja.
"Danes poslušamo, da nas želijo poraziti na bojišču. Kaj reči, kar naj poskusijo," je dejal Putin. "Velikokrat smo slišali, da se želi Zahod boriti z nami do zadnjega Ukrajinca. To je tragedija za ukrajinsko ljudstvo, toda vse kaže v to smer."
"Vsi bi morali vedeti, da še zdaleč nismo začeli ničesar resnega. Hkrati pa ne zavračamo mirovnih pogovorov. Toda tisti, ki jih zavračajo, naj se zavedajo, da dlje ko gredo stvari, težje se bodo pogajali z nami," je še dejal ruski predsednik. Ob tem je zatrdil, da bo ruska vojska uresničila zadane cilje.
