On March 24, 2024, at approximately 4:00 p.m., a yellow Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 caused a traffic incident in Hradec Kralove, Czech Republic. The incident occurred at an intersection about an hour from Prague.
The 50-year-old driver did not own the Mustang and lacked a valid driver's license. He had been offered to drive the car by its owner. Before the incident, the driver had met with the owner for "a beer and a shot of rum with lunch."
No injuries were reported. The Renault Megane Estate involved in the collision sustained approximately 50,000 crowns (US$2,100) in damage, while the Mustang incurred about 200,000 crowns (US$8,600) in damages.
The driver faces multiple charges, including running a red light, speeding, driving without a license, and driving under the influence. The police report cited alcohol consumption and unlicensed driving as primary factors in the incident.
