According to Romanian press reports, four A-10s have already arrived at the Romanian air force base in Campia Turzii, near the city of Cluj-Napoca in central Romania. A further eight are expected in the coming days. The airbase is just 200 km (120 miles) from the border with Ukraine, which is engaged in a war with Russian-backed separatists.

The technical term for what the Warthog, as the plane is known, is doing in Eastern Europe is providing a "theater security package," in other words air cover along with other U.S. and NATO planes for ground troops taking part in exercises there.

“There's a lot of exercising going out there, and we intend to support the Army to the maximum extent possible in this endeavor," said Gen. Frank Gorenc, commander of U.S. air forces in Europe. "This [theater security package], particularly in the form of the A-10, is going to be very, very useful."

Motorola said by phone that he would not comment on Branovytsky’s murder.

“I don’t give a shit about any accusations, believe it or not,” Motorola said. “I’ve shot 15 prisoners. I don’t give a shit. No comment. I kill whoever I want.”

Radomir Pocuca, the former spokesperson for the Serbian anti-terrorist police unit who is being prosecuted for endangering the safety of peace group Women in Black, said that he has left the country and joined pro-Moscow rebels in eastern Ukraine.

Pocuca travelled to Ukraine to “fight against evil”, he wrote on his Facebook page on Monday.

He is on trial after making a statement that football hooligans should unite and fight the peace campaign group after it staged a commemoration in Belgrade marking the 15th anniversary of war crimes committed by Serb forces against Kosovo Albanians during the late 1990s conflict.

Srpski dobrovoljci, Radomir Počuča i Vladimir Staniæ, koji su u Donjecku uhapšeni pod optužbom da su planirali atentat na dvojicu Srba, dali su izjavu u kamere.

Uhapšeni Vladimir Staniæ je ispričao da je izvesni Gerovac naručio ubistvo Dejana Beriæa i još jednog Srbina.

„Došao sam u Rusiju, odnosno sa još pet momaka, sa pričom Gorana Gerovca da sklonimo Dejana Beriæa,odnosno Dekija Snajpera i kapetana Srpskog husarskog puka.“

Na pitanje Dejana Beriæa šta je mislio pod tim „skloniti“, Staniæ odgovara da su neki momci trebali da ih likvidiraju, da bi oni preuzeli puk.

Počuča na snimku kaže da želi da se objave svi dokazi o njegovim hapšenjem i da je došao u DNR sa časnim namerama. Zatim je ispričao hronologiju od njegovog dolaska u jedinicu Francuza srpskog porekla, Nikole Peroviæa, pa do napuštanja iste i stvaranja tzv. Srpskog husarskog puka.

Počuča je ispričao hronologiju nastanka tzv. Srpskog husarskog puka, da su bili u sastavu „Oplota“, je vladala nedisciplina i samovoljno napuštanje položaja. Takođe je i dodao da je veæina ljudi bila bez borbenog iskustva.

Ispričao je i o svom odnosu sa Gerovcem i još jednom ponovio da očekuje suđenje na osnovu dokaza.

Na videu se vidi i snajperista Dejan Beriæ koji im postavlja pitanja. Beriæ u jednom trenutku kaže Počuči da æe biti streljan ako mu bude suđeno na osnovu dokaza i dodaje da postoje brojne izjave protiv Počuče.

Iz Počučinih izjava ispada da on nije bio glavni u tzv. Srpskom husarskom puku veæ izvesni Gerovac koji je sa njim komunicirao iz Moskve. Počuča je rekao da je pre hašenja planirao da ode iz Novorusije razočaran svađama među Srbima.
