While vaccinated people do account for most hospitalizations and deaths in the U.K., this is because there are many more vaccinated people than unvaccinated. Without this information, the claims create a misleading impression of the vaccines’ effectiveness. Vaccination lowers the risk of hospitalization and death linked to COVID-19, even if the proportion of vaccinated people among the hospitalized increases as the proportion of vaccinated people gets closer to 100%.
