Citat:
Sorry, big no-no.

Zgleda kot Rolex, sam tudi približno ni Rolex. Kopiranje dizajna ni kul.

Citat:
When I cast my eye over the watch for the first time in the flesh, I thought wow, this is better than I thought.

The Dial:
One word, perfect, the quality of finish, printing just perfect with no flaws

The Bezel:
Perfect coin edge bezel with one wish, that the luminescent dot was white, the same as the dial lume.

The Case:
Tolerance’s of the case are exceptional I would suggest over engineered, the marking on the crown, lines up perfectly, why can’t Rolex manage that.

The Bracelet.
Solid end links, links all secured by screws and divers extension. Again top quality finish and engineering.

The Movement.
An ETA caliber 2824. Can’t tell you much about this except I’m led to believe it’s a bit of a workhorse.

Citat:
The Steinhart is bigger and heavier then Rolex. It looks like Steihart is stronger built then Rolex. The bracelet has better clasp on Steinhart. The clasp on Rolex is a bad design and will open sometimes when I jump into the pool. The look of Steinhart is solid and attractive. My Rolex is very accurate. It is fast by two seconds a day. My Steinhart is fast by 12 seconds a day, strait from the factory. It needs to be adjusted. Rolex has its own movement and it is superior to Steinhart. However Steihart uses ETA 2824-2 movement, which is a work horse used in Tag Heuer, Oris, and many more higher priced watches. My Steihart has a yellow bezel so it will not be confused with Rolex. Steinhart will look good on bigger guys since it is a bigger and heavier watch then Rolex Submariner. Since Rolex is lighter it is more comfortable on your wrist. Except the bad clasp on Rolex, everything else is perfect. Steinhart has come very close with its attention to details, but Rolex is still superior. Steihart is a very good watch for the money.
Rolex is the legend. Almost every diver watch today got something from Rolex Submariner. Since the Sub has the superior movement and the legacy its price is justified. Steinhart Ocean 1 is a very attractive watch and has a great value.

Citat:
I have an Ocean 1, a Nav-B 6497 and an automatic. They are well made, accurate, and fit and finish is excellent.

Citat:
I've read a few reviews of this watch and every one says the product is better than the reviewer thought it would be. It great to hear that no quibble customer service still exists. Congrats. on a really nice watch.

Citat:
I have owned a Rolex Sea Dweller in the past but had to sell for financial reasons. I have also loved to owned a Rolex Sub and have always loved the look of these watches.

I wanted to buy a watch with the same look and feel as my Sea Dweller but there's no way I could afford the price of a new Rolex so I decided to look at the Steinhart. Looked at it, read the reviews and decided to get the black 'Ocean One'.

Well it arrived last week when I was in hospital and when I got home and opened the box up I was absolutely amazed at the quality of the watch. The case, the bracelet (way better than Rolex) and the attention to detail. Well all I can say for the fraction of the price of a Sub, this has got to be an excellent buy when on a budget. I know it's not a Rolex, it's a Steinhart, but the watch is quality and to be honest fits my wrist way better than my old Sea Dweller.

Definitely would buy another one of these maybe with a different coloured bezel so that it is not mistaken for a Rolex Sub fake.

Best buy in a watch I've made in years.

Citat:
The first time I actually tried on a Rolex Submariner (still want one) was at a bar for happy hour with my boss who had one on his wrist, and was talking about how much he beat on it while surfing/diving, etc. I just had my Ocean 1 on. Already, you can see why I'm the newbie, and he's the boss. But when I tried the Sub, the first thing I noticed was that it was considerably lighter than my Steinhart, smaller, and had a cheaper-feeling bracelet. To be honest, it was a tad bit underwhelming. At the same time, I was extremely excited to finally have a real sub on my wrist and admired it for a good few minutes.

I think the takeaway is that Steinhart does make a very good watch. If you can't afford a Rolex yet (like me), this is a great stepping stone to see if you like the design/style. The fit and finish is top notch, the size/weight/feel are great, and the movement is a quality one from ETA. But now, it's time for me to save up for the next step up...and I guess that's why I'm here on TRF now.

If you don't mind the close resemblance to the Rolex models their watches are great value.

Citat:
Just landed! It's big. That's probably the main departure from the original. The bracelet and clasp is also of excellent quality. Everything closes with a sharp snap, exhibiting some very tight tolerances in this regard. It lacks some refinement but overall, I'm impressed.

Na Rolex forumu ga kar hvalijo. Pa še kje. Ne vidim razloga, zakaj bi bil Steinhart big no-no.

Saj so predlogi lepo, a so preveč športni.

In to mi ni všeč.

Ah, dej no, ne ga srat s trenerkami.
