PICC plug-in Prius can now go 70 mph on battery power

Thanks to a beefed up bit of software, Priuses converted to plug-in drive by Plug In Conversions Corp. (PICC) have gotten quite a bit better. They can now go up to 70 mph using nothing but their batteries and get 170 mpge. The software manages to get around Toyota's built-in top speed limitation of 34 miles per hour in EV mode, as PICC president Kim Adelman told us when we spoke to him at EVS23. All of this goodness doesn't come cheap: the software upgrade will cost customers anywhere between $2,000 and $2,500 on top of the $12,500 conversion; at least there will be a free trial version available at some point. The software goest on sale later this month.

Ne, davek na električne avte in motorje bodo uvedli zato, ker ne znajo izračunati količino CO2 v izpustu le-teh... In bo nek pavšal, cca 18%...

Mislim, da nisi dobro razumel. Kolo se že napaja iz baterij in ga poganja električni motor. Stvar je v tem, da ti s pedeliranjem določaš hitrost, s katero se boš peljal. Pa to ni razmerje 1:1 ampak npr. 1:5.

Takega ni....... lahko zaključiš seminarsko...

So pa avtomobili z manjšimi izpusti oz nič izpustov, baterije so pa še vedno zelo obremenilne za okolje.... tko da...

Mogoče konj in voz.. to bi še šlo, tukaj lahko začneš....

Se bo naftna industrija "ušuljala" skozi zadnja vrata in pohopsala tehnologije in patente? Tako kot je General Motors kupil del Ovonics-a, ki je proizvajal pogonske akumulatorje za električne avtomobile in ga nato prodal naftni družbi Chevron?
Tle se mi z Teslo zdi podobno podlo. Samo da je podlost storil Daimler. Kupijo delež par mesecev nazaj, se hvalijo, kako super duper kul je Tesla, nato pa prodajo naftašem? Res podlo in prozorno.
