Fiat 1.9 (16V) multijet biturbo 180KM in 210-230KM, serijsko ze od konca 2007. Masine brez serijskih napak
The bi-turbo design allows for minimal lag and spin up times at low revs, while the larger turbo takes over to move higher volumes of air in the mid rev range. The small turbo is by-passed as the air flow and power output increases, switching to the larger one. Twin stage turbos have also allowed a more efficient fuel mix burn, through re-circulation, with significant gains in emmissions - and the engines comply with the anticipated Euro 5 emission standards.
FTP also adds the following features for fuel efficiency and improved emmissions:
Compression ratio down from 17.5 to 16.5
Low-voltage metallic glow plugs
Improved EGR cooler (with by-pass)
New EGR valve system on Lambda sensor, with DPF
New inlet port design
